Beach Baby

Ahhhh, beach baby.  I've painted from the source photo several different sizes.

At Chappy one time about 20 years ago and this little boy ran up and down the beach just like this, wearing only a hat.  Before cell phones, but my friend had a camera in his bag, so we quickly snapped a photo.  Then I painted him.

I've thought of subtitling this one "I wish I could do that" because it looked so truly freeing to watch him do this, not a care to who was watching.  Probably not PC to say that now, but it was a hot summer day, and it brought smiles and giggles to the faces of those at the beach.

No big hidden message here.  Simply the simplicity and uncomplicated joy of youth!
