Tea time

I need to write my blogposts earlier in the day.  When I will til 8:30 at night, like right now, I'm thinking I would much rather sit down with a cup of hot tea and a book and start to settle in for the night.  But I am committed to writing a daily post, so here I am.

This little painting was a rarity for me.  A still life, painted from my real life, about 15 years ago.  I loved the simplicity of it.  It evokes a place in time.  Gratefully one to which I may return.

I look at this painting now (sold years ago to my aunt) and see the things about it that I believe I could, and would, paint better were I to do it now.

That's ok.  It was... then.  And whether or not the painting is up to a certain skill level of fine art (whatever the heck that is) it is still kinda fun.  I think it was about 6" square.

What does it say... to you?
