Day 37 of the "54 paintings of Falmouth Beaches in 54 days" project to celebrate that where we are in 2021 vs. where we were at this time last year!
Day 37. Went to Grew's Pond at Goodwill Park, even though I don't really consider it a 'beach' but it is officially on the town of Falmouth beaches roster. I painted only one other there in the series - was waiting for things to get green. The grass is. The trees (other than evergreens) are not. But it was beautiful. And a painting challenge to do the foreground trees. When painting with a palette knife, one relinquishes a lot of control. That's a good thing. Because then the painting has more opportunity to surprise the one painting it!
This painting has been sold.
