I am happy to announce a gallery show of new paintings and sketches on display at the Gallery at FCTV from May 10 through June 28. The public is invited to a reception with the artist (that's me!) on Sunday, May 19, from 3:00 –5:00 pm.

In 2019, I presented the inaugural show in The Gallery at FCTV. As I thought about what has happened since the last show, personally, professionally, and in the world, the title “Since then…” emerged. The ellipsis (…) is an intentional nod to the ongoing changes of life, and the creative road yet to unfold.

While my creative journey started at age 10, I confess I did not study art professionally. Painting has been a consistent thread through my life, even as I pursued other vocations, believing the myth of the starving artist and feeling the need to work what others considered "real jobs." Finally, now, I am fully embracing the life of a creative individual, integrating painting, writing, and music in and through my ever increasing commitment to my Christian faith.

Though I am now known mostly for my seascapes, a recent trip to the French countryside has inspired me  to return to her landscape roots. This show includes two new large pieces painted since my return mid-April. They are still wet on the easel in my studio, to be added to the show later next week when dry enough to be moved.

In addition, my twice weekly blog, published at ArtistsRealLife.com provides an ongoing written and visual narrative of the inspirational renewal I experienced from the trip. There will be a photo show with links to the posts included in the exhibition, available for viewing beginning on Sunday, May 19 at the artist’s reception.

The Gallery at FCTV is located within the Falmouth Community Media Center, which is at 310E Dillingham Ave., easily accessible by Rose Morin Lane. FCTV and Gallery Hours: Mon: 12-8pm, Tue, Wed, Thu: 128pm, Fri: 10am-6pm. Sat: Closed, Sun: 12-8pm.
